Parish Life…
RANDOM THOUGHTS, Tuesday, July 21, 2020
Dear Parishioners and Friends of St. Francis Parish,
Another 90 + day. Enough.
Johnnie has returned from Puerto Rico. Same as here. Beaches half full and everyone wearing masks, etc.
Father George is coming for a visit next week. Will be nice to see him again and hear his stories.
The Finance Committee will be meeting this coming Thursday in the Parish Center. Paola will have the facts and figures ready as she always does. Our effort to help pay Sister Gloria’s Health Insurance Payment is almost at $2,000. I’m sure we will make our goal.
We are in the process of updating our parish list. You may get a phone call or e mail about this. Please be helpful.
The Vatican has issued new orders to all Bishops and Religious Superiors to cooperate with the authorities when an abuse case is brought forward. Gone, long gone, thank God, when Bishops reported directly to Rome.
Around he world at least nine Bishops have died from C 19. Could not find a number for priests. I am assuming it is more, since they have closer contact with people than the bishops.
Again, if you ae planning to come to Sunday Mas, please e mail to let me know. Last week we had 34 at the 9:00 am and 36 at the 11:00 am. Our capacity is around 42 or so. Really hard to tell. Hopefully our on line live mass will be easier to get now that our internet speed has increased. Time will tell.
“German Archbishop Stephan Burger intends to turn the archdiocese’s 1,000 parishes into 40 mega parishes.” And we think we have problems!
I have no idea what these pictures mean.
